Co-Founders

Alisha Sharma

Co-Founder

Alisha co-founded UniVerse Education to show students in remote pockets of South Asia what they are truly capable of with digital education. She wants them to know they all have the power and the potential to be the next generation of changemakers. As our main coordinator for fundraising and school selection, Alisha leads all of our fundraising events and works with partners like BVJSS to find the schools where we build computer labs.

Ananya Sharma

Co-Founder

Ananya co-founded UniVerse Education out of her love for getting to know the students across India and Nepal on a personal level, hearing what they hope to become, their educational aspirations, and their long-term dreams. As our main coordinator for computer purchase and delivery as well as nonprofit outreach, she is the logistical face behind bringing working computers to students' classrooms.

Akila Raj

Fundraising Volunteer

Growing up in the Bay Area surrounded by technology, Akila has seen how important having access to computers is for learning and creating opportunities. She has always wanted to help kids who don't have access to the same resources. Through her fundraising work with UniVerse Education, she gets to help provide students in South Asia with computers, giving them more opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed in today's technology-driven world.

Open officer roles

Director of Fundraising

Help us plan exciting new fundraisers to support our mission: charity auctions, bake sales, school drives, and more. You will also research and apply for grants to help fund new computer labs.

Director of Partnerships and Outreach

Help us grow our network of partners. You will reach out to schools and educational foundations in South Asia to find new places for computer labs, as well as reach out to other youth-led nonprofits both locally and regionally to find new ways to collaborate.

Director of Media and Design

Help us tell the UniVerse story. You will create social media content, design graphics, and collect photos, videos, and updates from our partner schools and fundraisers to share on our website and social media.

Director of Chapter Development

Help UniVerse grow our network of student chapters. You will reach out to schools, guide students through starting a chapter, and support our existing chapter leaders along the way.
